On July 22nd at 7:55am Preston J turned 2 years old! On his actual birthday (which was a Thursday) we all went to Baskin Robbins for some ice cream after David got home from work. Preston really enjoyed that this year (we also went last year--I guess it's kinda our tradition now) and tried a few different types of ice cream. This past Saturday we had a birthday party for him...and it was pretty overwhelming for the little guy. I tried to keep it simple and I just had it at the house because I know Preston doesn't enjoy being somewhere unfamiliar with a lot of people. He has to take some time to warm up, usually. Anyway, besides P being a bit moody and really overwhelmed, it was a nice party. We had the family and a few of our close friends over and had cake and ice cream. Preston didn't want anything to do with opening presents while so many people were there watching him. So instead, his friend Cameron, who is 4, helped me open Preston's presents. :) Preston did really enjoy his cake though. He gobbled it up before I even had a chance to get a picture of him eating it. After everyone left (and after he had a terrbile two screaming melt-down) Preston started playing with his new toys and had a good time. Thank you to everyone who was there to celebrate our sweet toddler's birthday and for all the thoughtful, great gifts!
