Our Holidays

December 18th we had Christmas at my parents house before they headed out to Arizona to spend Christmas with my sister and her family. We got together with my parents and brother and sis-in-law and had a yummy dinner and lots of treats. We had a present exchange (including a white elephant exchange, lol) and enjoyed being together. We attempted to play a game, but the boys were pretty restless by evening and it was time to go. Of course I forgot to take a single picture. :(

I was supposed to work Christmas Eve, but was put on-call and they never needed me to work, so I got to hang out with the boys. We spent that evening driving and looking at all the pretty Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music (growing up, my family used to do this every Christmas Eve). We then made a fire, sipped hot cocoa, and watched a ton of Law & Order. Lately, David and I have been watching all the Law & Order episodes...just on a kick, I guess! The kids went to bed and then of course Santa came to visit. :)

On Christmas morning Preston was really excited about the presents and it was so fun to see him enjoy everything and actually get into Christmas this year. We had breakfast and then loaded up everyone and drove to David's Grandma's house. This year we didn't do gifts (except somehow the boys got gifts from everyone, lol) and we had lots of yummy Mexican food. We enjoyed one another's company, played games, had yummy homemade cider, watched football and everyone enjoyed the boys, of course. :) I forgot my camera so I have a few pictures from Grandma's camera. I always wish I had more pictures!

For New Year's Eve I had a cold, so we ended up staying in. David fixed all the food and snacks and we watched the countdowns inbetween movie-watching. Surprisingly, I was able to stay up until midnight...and then I went to sleep. :) I felt a bit better on Saturday, so I was able to do some much needed organizing. I am still working on going through the boys' clothes and putting away things that no longer fit and bringing out clothes for Aedan that I have kept stored as Preston has grown.

Anyway, here are more pictures from Christmas at home...

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
