Independence Day

I woke up today and saw that someone in the neighborhood has placed American flags on either side of everyone's front sidewalk. :) I love my neighborhood! Maybe it's because I'm more sensitive and emotional being pregnant and all...but things like that make me happy. :) I am so glad to live in this country and I count myself blessed to be living the American dream. I really feel that way. Sure, sometimes I am a bit cynical with the negative things that go on...but I really love our country! David and I even had the opportunity to speak in church on Sunday...and our topic was...America the Land of Liberty. :) So that was cool! Anyway, I hope everyone has a great holiday!!

Oh yeah, we got our carpet fixed! We decided to just get a carpet patch done instead of going for new flooring. We eventually want to put in new floors, but with everything going on it's just too much right now! Luckily David thought of looking in the attic for some leftover carpet from when the house was built...and there happened to be one piece of carpet up there so we didn't have to try and match new carpet. We had someone from Kiwi carpet do the patch and you seriously can't even tell! I was surprised! I guess there's always an easier way to fix things. :)
