The boys both had their checkups today! I must be crazy for taking them both at the same time, but they really didn't do too bad. :) The only problem is when one or the other would get bored while one was getting the check up done. The 3 year check up was a lot different than previous checkups in that it really made me realize that Preston is not at all a baby anymore! For instance, Preston had his first "eye exam" where he had to look at a chart down the hall and cover one eye or the other. Also, instead of stripping down to his pull-up to be weighed, he only had to take off his shoes and stand on the regular scale. The emotional/sentimental part I felt surprised me a little. I guess it took me off guard realizing how fast he is growing. Anyway, here are his stats:
Preston James
3 years old
Height: 38 3/4 inches (83%)
Weight: 35lbs 2oz (80%)
Head: Can't remember #s but it fit his average
And here are Aedan's stats:
Aedan John
15 months old
Height: 31 inches (41%)
Weight: 23lbs 11oz (34%)
Head: Still off the charts...but following his own growth curve at least
Aedan is a little runt with a big head! It doesn't surprise me that he's so little. He's a really picky eater! His doc suggested vitamins and to just continue trying to offer him a variety of foods. It doesn't matter though. If he doesn't like it he just won't eat it. He's on track developmentally...actually ahead in many areas, so I'm not that concerned.
