Potty Trained!!!

   Over the past couple of weeks I finally brought up potty training again for Preston. I just knew he was capable, and this time I was NOT gonna give up! He's almost 3 1/2 for crying out loud! ;) So 2 weeks ago he only had a few pull-ups left and I told him that when they were gone he would have to wear underwear. He was absolutely refusing to wear underwear and would therefore continue wearing pull-ups and do his business in there. So the day came that we were out of pull-ups. I had to show him that we literally were out of them before he believed me. He even looked for some. He resisted the underwear most of that day...kept taking them off. But I was insistent enough and made the rule that he had to wear underwear all the time. And now...a week later he is finally potty trained!! Well, except for pooping...but that's another issue. He only had a couple of accidents each day for about 3 days...and then after that he's been perfect! No accidents!! Yay!! :) So switching to underwear was the key for him. Once we got over that hump, he was able to do it! I made a little sticker chart for him and I used a lot of praise and he gets an m&m if he poops in the potty. He's still inconsistent with this one...but we're working on it. The best part is that I don't have to buy diapers or pull-ups anymore for him! Well, he's still wearing one at night (but he's been totally dry each morning) because I'm not yet ready to chance cleaning up pee every morning. I'm so glad he's reached this milestone! I thought the day would never come!! :) Yay Preston!! I'm seriously so happy! :)
