Grandma

My Grandma passed away this afternoon, peacefully, while in hospice care, with my Granddad by her side holding her hand. After struggling with many ailments in recent years, and increasing stays in the hospital, she made the decision to go into hospice care and was transferred to a care facility Thursday night. I had a chance to visit her literally moments before she was transferred from the hospital on Thursday night. The visit was brief, but it just so happened when I was there she was awake, smiling, and she even wanted me to help her put on a little make up. :) My dad said that earlier in the day she wasn't really responsive, but she perked up a bit just in time for me to see her. I brought Preston in the room in his stroller and Grandma's face just lit up with the biggest smile! I'm so glad I got those few precious moments.
