...things don't turn out the way you would like. It's been a busy week! Turns out me cutting back from working 2 shifts a week to only working one shift a month makes it difficult to get out of debt. Even with all the hours David has been trying to put in. We tried, but just can't do it right now. So now I am back to working pretty much 2 shifts a week. The days I work we are putting Preston in the work daycare. I have mixed feelings about it, but it's what we gotta do, so it's what we're doing for now! Preston's first day of daycare was Thursday...and other than being really tired, he did fine. But then on Sunday Preston woke up with his first cold! :( I knew it would happen sooner or later, but I didn't think it would be THAT soon. Poor buddy had a little fever, a fountain of drainage, and a little cough. He's doing better today and hasn't had a fever since late last night. He's still got a ton of congestion and drainage, but I know that takes a while to clear up. On top of that, for the first time his bowel pattern has slowed down (I tried to say it as nice as possible :) to try and not gross anyone out) and so we're working on that. I feel so bad for my sweet baby! :(

poor sicky--check out his cute pjs from Steve & Mel!

he still had a smile for me :)
Today I have been graced by the presence of our next door neighbors' golden retrievers who surprised me by showing up in our backyard after finally working a hole big enough to get under the fence. Our neighbors aren't home yet, so they are stuck here for now!

Are you my mommy?

The getting out of debt struggle seems to be a never ending battle for everyone. As soon as you start to make some headway something new comes along that needs to be taken care of...I am sorry that you had to put Preston in daycare. But, hey, my mom had to put me in daycare and I turned out alright. :) Think of it as social networking. Preston gets to meet other babies his age and meet new and interesting people. (Also better to get those immunities now instead of in kindergarten. When my students miss days they miss a lot of important material.)
Awww! I hate it when babies are sick, it is just miserable! Hopefully you won't have to work too long and you can resume to hanging with the babe! And that must have been some hole for those huge dogs to crawl through!
Sorry that you are having to work quite a bit more. Poor Preston with his little cold. I think that everyone is feeling the debt issue right now so you are not alone. Hope that Preston feels better soon!
I am sorry to hear Preston got his first cold. Brady just got his last week and I felt so bad especially since Brooklyn didn't get one until after she turned one. But I guess with a sibling in nursery he is bound to get sick more than she ever did. I guess there isn't anything I can do about it. I hope things are going well for you guys. I miss you and the Texas weather.
Brooklyn got her first cold a few weeks ago and it was not fun!! You just feel so sad for them!! And since then, her "bowel schedule" has slowed down too!! That is so wierd. I think it might just be an age thing though... hmmm. I hope he feels better soon!!
I am sorry to hear that you are feeling sick. The stomach bug is no fun at all. (By the way...remind me when Caden gets his first cold that I said it was good for him...:))
