Friday night we went to a chili cook off for a church activity. It was at this really nice park not too far from where we live. I didn't even know the park existed before then. David made some chili (although he didn't have time to make HIS chili) for the competition. There were 11 entries. Anyway, we were having a good time hanging out with friends, eating, etc and then the judging began. The judges were 2 missisonaries (I thought it was pretty appropriate for them to be the judges, lol) and then the winners were announced. Well, I thought there would be like "best chili overall" and then 2nd and 3rd place or something like that. Instead there were 3 winners with categories that basically didn't dis anyone elses chili, lol. There was "hottest", "most kid friendly", and then the category David won..."most colorful". I thought it was pretty funny. Our friends sitting next to us won "most kid friendly" and we all looked at each other like...what does that mean, anyway? I guess getting one of those meant the chili was good enough to be recognized, at least. :) We even got a box of crayons for the win! Preston will enjoy those in the future. :)

If I keep eating spicy food the way I do my baby won't like kid-friendly chili. He'll like it as spicy as his mom. :)
