On Christmas Eve David barely made it out of OKC (there was a blizzard there he had to drive away from!) and made it safely to Texas by late afternoon. We spent Christmas Eve together at home as the light snow continued to fall here.

Christmas morning Preston woke us up and he ate breakfast and then we opened presents. Preston wasn't really all that interested in present-opening, but he helped open some presents and enjoyed the toys he received from us and Santa. :)
After that we went outside to capture some pictures of the snow that was blanketed over our front yard. It was great because we had snow, but it didn't stick to the streets or sidewalk, and more importantly there wasn't any ice! We had about 4" in our front yard, but it mostly melted away by the end of the day.
Abby had fun in the snow early in the morning and then she even got some new toys from Santa :)
Preston actually did enjoy the snow--he just looks so cold here!
David was crazy enough to just wear some shorts out there!
After that we took a little nap and then got ready and headed over to David's parent's house where we opened presents. Once again Preston was not too interested in opening gifts, but he did manage to entertain himself by breaking some ornaments off their little Christmas tree.

Here he's sporting his new cowboy boots from Mam-maw and Poppy. He loves them and they are soo cute!
After that we headed over to David's Grandma's house. It was so nice to be together and have yummy food and enjoy one another's company. This year we didn't do the usual gifts, we really just spent time together, played games, and had some time to remember Papa--since this was the first Christmas without him. Of course everyone loved on Preston, and he actually behaved himself very well. Christmas went by so fast this year! I can't believe we will have 2 boys to share it with next year! :)
