I know, it's true, I've totally been slacking. So here's what's been going on lately...
Last Thursday (the 24th) I had another appointment with my OB and I got to hear the little heartbeat. :) It was hard to find and went almost as fast as it came...so we couldn't really pick up an exact rate or anything. But it was a good heartbeat. So cool to hear! I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow!
On Sunday at church Preston was a lot more tired than usual and even slept on me (which he NEVER does) and then I noticed toward the end of church as he was still napping on me that he was burning up! I got him home and poor baby was running a fever and feeling miserable. I gave him some Tylenol and a tepid bath and he felt a little better. David was so good and watched our sick baby all day Monday while I went to work. That's no easy task since Preston is very clingy when he doesn't feel good. Preston is pretty much back to himself, but still has the runny nose/congestion going on. Poor baby. :(
Yesterday Preston was feeling well enough that we all went to the State Fair! I haven't been in a few years and was really craving a Corny Dog. :) We were only there for about 3-4 hours but we got to see the bird show, all the cars, lots of exhibits and ate corny dogs and caramel apples. I thought Preston would like the livestock area where a dog show was going on, but by that time he was tired and it was too loud for him...so it was time to go. :) Of course I totally forgot my camera (grr) but it was a lot of fun. And we got in for only $4 b/c it was Coca-Cola Thursday (bring an empty 20oz Coke bottle and get in for only 4 bucks!) and of course Preston was free.
So that's your update! :)

I think we are all slacking on the blog side of things. Being working Mommy's takes lots of time. We work, we are mommy, and we are wives. Our jobs are never done. I am glad you heard the heartbeat. Wouldn't it be cool if you had the baby on your birthday? I think so. Anyway...big hugs and I hope Preston feels better. I totally get the sick baby thing. Have a good weekend.
I wish I could take the kids to the Texas state fair! We have a state fair here, too, but I don't feel like going to it. By the way, I like your new background...AND you ARE a slacker! J/K
