Another One Bites the Dust

Today I found another tooth! It's another front bottom tooth more to the right. So now he has his two front teeth on the bottom row...well sorta...one is halfway in, the other is just barely poking through. I'm so glad he hasn't been unusually fussy with this. Then again, he has been waking up at odd times ever since he had that cold last month. Now it makes sense. By the way, I'm talking about Preston's teeth--I just had to throw that in there in case I lost anyone. :)

Anyway, yesterday David, Preston, and I went over to my parents' house to visit. We just hung out, talked, looked through pictures, and tried to divert my dad from only talking about the economy and politics the entire time. Just kidding, Dad. ;) My mom made us some homemade bread and we had bbq for dinner. I forgot the name of the place. It was really good though!

Today we had Preston's doctor appt with the neurologist. It was good but also frustrating. We had a 3:30 appt. We arrived at 3:00. We were called back at 4:15. We saw the doc at about 4:45. I forgot how slow it is at a specialists'...not to mention pediatrics. Anyway, I really didn't mind the waiting, but the problem is by the time we were able to check out with our lab order paper in hand, we were informed that the lab was closed. But it was the way the receptionist told us that annoyed me. Here we were finally going to get the lab work done after waiting through everything patiently, getting to see the doc, etc. The receptionist took our paperwork, filled out a lab request, and we were handed back our paperwork without a word...and when we questioned the receptionist about where to go next...she looks up at us with a puzzled look and said, "You can go to the 3rd floor or go to any lab company location." We were like, "oh okay"...and then she added..."Well, the lab is already closed for the day". And she said it in a way like duh, everyone knows that. It really frustrated me.

Anyway, after a bit we got over it and I looked up the lab company online (b/c there is nothing on the paper that directs us where their locations are...i.e. a phone number or website) and I scheduled a time for Thursday morning to have the lab work done. There is even a location very close to our house--yay! Still not sure how long it will take to get the results, but at least it will be done. That's all my ranting for now!

At my parents' house...

Preston today--making a mess!

Our baby is a weirdo...so far he doesn't like sweet potatoes or butternut squash...but he loves green beans! That's ok with me!

P.S. Not really sure if the title for this blog works, but I figured it mixed the teeth and today's annoyances together. :)
