Growing Changes

To accommodate Preston's growth, I've had to accept to make some small changes. I think I've been in denial that he is almost 6 months old! Besides that I know he's big for his age. Anyway, I use a little travel crib like this one here (different design--his is green) and have it our bedroom for when he wakes up really early in the morning...I get him from his crib...and feed him/change him/etc...then he goes back to sleep for a few hours in our room in this travel crib. Problem is I've been using the bassinet portion and I didn't realize I was supposed to stop using it after he passed 15 lbs. Oops! That was a long time ago! Anyway, so now we'll just use the crib w/o the top part. Actually, maybe I can start working on him going back to sleep in his crib or just not waking up at all. I mean, he'll sleep for about 6-8 hours in his crib (except when he was sick--he would only sleep with me! But I finally got him back to sleeping in his crib-yay!) and then wake up, want to be fed, and sleep for another few hours in our room. We'll see if I can change that!

Also, he has a swing in the same pattern as his travel crib and it has a head and body support. It just dawned on me yesterday that I could take out those supports. He is too big for them and doesn't need them anyway. He still loves his swing though and it is where he naps during the day. Guess I should work on him napping in his crib during the day too since the swing is almost too small for him! He'll be forced to change sooner or later...either by me or by his size.

On to food...
I started solids back in November, but as it went on it seemed to bother his tummy, so we took a break. I have now started the foods back and it's for good this time. It's what helped me get him back to sleeping in his crib through most of the night again. Anyway, we never bought a high chair or anything so we were trying to figure out what to buy, how much to spend, etc and came across this. It's perfect for him! It's only a portion of the cost of a regular high chair and it will grow with him until he no longer needs a booster seat--which I love.

That's enough rambling for now! Here are some new pictures...

He has grown a lot. He looks much more comfortable in the swing without the head support. :)
